Pampering day

Today has been a day dedicated to pampering. And cleaning. Just a good day off work, overall.

But now that my nails are all nice and pretty, I need to write my essay, prepare everything for Speech, brush up on my French, and continue detoxing my room.

Right after I watch a movie with my mom and sister.

Life Detox

Step 1: Treat Yourself
The first step to any life detox is to treat yourself. Go get your nails done (boys, too), go to the beach and read, get a massage, go do something that you enjoy that will relax you and give your body some stress-free time.

Step 2: Start With Your Clothes
Most if us are victims of "if I lose weight, maybe I'll fit these jeans again." Hell, I know I am. We have to let that go. That's not giving us any happiness. Go through all your clothes, and get rid of those that don't make you feel amazing. Why have those kind of clothes cluttering up your space? If you're in the middle (or planning to start) a weight loss plan, keep that one dress, or that one pair of jeans as a goal.

Step 3: Get yourself some running shoes. Or access to a pool.
Seriously, excerising is a great way to start feeling good about yourself. It sets off your endorphins, your clothes start getting lighter, it's awesome. And you don't need a gym membership to do it! (It helps, but you don't need it.) Go out and buy a good pair of running shoes to start running away from your problems and building up the strength to come back to your problems later.

Step 4: Deep clean.
Clean your shower, your kitchen, your living room, your book shelf, just start cleaning. It opens up your living atmosphere, it's helps to de-stress, and you get to de-clutter and start putting things in your house that you really want. Seriously, does anyone really need those broken, lost lid Tupperware containers anymore? Go get a new set and stop stressing about finding a lid that fits!

Step 5: Start making lists and getting organized.
Now that we've all de-cluttered our houses/apartments/bedrooms, start making lists. The lists can be anything you want it to be, from what to get at the grocery store, to goals for the next week, to what you need to drop in your life to make you happier. Get a planner. You'll become more organized and it helps to note things down so they don't get forgotten. Start organizing your life in the small ways. It really acts as a way to prevent more stress grays from growing in.

Good luck with everyone's life detox!

I need to get my shit together.

Its been over a year since opening my credit card, and that little fucker still hasn't been paid off. Which is inexcusable. I earn close to $300 a week, so that account should be at 0 right now. Spoiler alert, it's not.

So obviously something needs to change. And I'm thinking it's my coffee habit. I really need to start making my coffee at home again, because this is getting ridiculous. I'm going to make an exel sheet of how I need to break up my paychecks, and then do that for the following 2 months. And by that point, I should have my credit card paid off and hopefully some money in my savings. And money saved up for teeth whitening ($300) and a new iPod (because my old one now refuses to work).

I also need to cleanse my life. With the food I eat, the shit I own, how I am living my life, etcetera. First step? Drinking water. And clean my room.

And stop wasting 50 bucks a month for a gym membership that I don't use. I need to get off my ass and actually start going to the gym again.

I should stop going out for crappy food, and start making my meals. It's cheaper and this way I actually know what is going into my body.

This is going to be a hectic next couple of months, but hopefully I'll be in a better place because of them.

On today's episode of "I hate myself and regret all my life choices"...

It's 1.45am, and I got back from a 4.54 mile run about 30 minutes ago.

It took about an hour to run it.

That's how out of shape I am.

Granted, it was up and down lots of hills, but still.

I'm going to cut that time down and kick my flabby butt into shape.

And now I'm going to try and go to bed, since I work in...8 hours. Oops.

All You Can Eat...until you throw up

"All You Can Eat"
Doesn't sound too bad, right? All I can eat in an hour for only 20 bucks? With such a huge sushi menu? Sign me right up!

Except not.

Four of us went to get sushi last night, and we did all you can eat. Two rounds of it! And we were good...until we realized we still had 20 rolls to eat and we were all too full to function. By the end of it, we had all loosened our belts, and were slumped over the table, trying our best not to throw up. But we didn't have to pay for any non-eaten sushi!

Fourteen hours later, however, I'm still too full to eat. I don't think I've ever felt this way before. Not even on Thanksgiving.

And I feel terrible because there are 870 million people out in the world starving, and here I am, with my stomach so full, I have to consciously keep myself from throwing up.

Terrible.

It's 2014 already?

I don't even know how I got through last year as fast as I did. But I guess I could blame that on work and school.

I'm 16 days late, but New Year's resolution, yeah?
*First and foremost, pay off my credit card bill.
*Start exercising more, because I am unhealthily out of shape.
*Do my hair and make up more. I love doing it, so why haven't I been?
*Find a good college to go to.
*Budget.
*Cross off at least 5 things off my Bucket List.
*Get 2 SAG vouchers.
*Less pizza and fast food, more actually fixing and cooking my meals.
*Drink more water, and less coffee.
*Post more on this blog. I have it, why not actually use it.

I think that's about all I can think of at the moment.

I wish everyone a happy new year and I hope you all succeed in what you set out to do.

Kisses.
